Special thank you to Springfield Women of Today for their generous donation and lots of new, fluffy pillows, which are greatly needed by MERCY families—many will sleep better tonight!


Cathedral Church of St. Paul held a Kitchen Shower to support MERCY Communities and Father Andy blessed the kitchen items for MERCY families.

Wells Fargo

A very special thank you to Wells Fargo employees for giving us a helping hand on United Way of Central Illinois Day of Action here at MERCY House! We really appreciate their hard work!

Thank you to the amazing team at KM Hairworks and Spa! They held a fabulous and fashionable cut-a-thon for MERCY families—raising $1,707 for our moms and children to help them outfit their apartments!


THREE CHEERS to these the Lanphier High School seniors who volunteered yesterday and helped spruce up MERCY apartments. We appreciate these young ladies for their time, their talents and their leadership in making a difference in the lives of MERCY families and our community!


Miss Kaitlyn chose to have items brought to MERCY instead of receiving birthday gifts at her birthday party! Thank you to this special girl!

United Way KEB

Many, many thanks to United Way Volunteers from Kerber, Eck & Braeckel LLP. They worked hard to help get us ready for fall—taking ACs out and cleaning up the yard and area around MERCY House!


A very special thank you to Hospital Sisters Health System for donating the $2,515 proceeds from their Jean Days to MERCY families. We appreciate so much that they chose us to be their recipient for collections throughout the month of August!



MERCY families, staff and friends had a great time at our summer picnic! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful day.

Catholic HEART Workcamp

Volunteers from Catholic HEART Workcamp helped MERCY families cleaning and repairing homes in the Enos Park area. Thank you so much for your generous donation of time!

Thank you to Coordination Council of Frontiers International for their donation of purses filled with personal care items for new families as they move in.

SIU School of Medicine

Special thanks to these hard-working SIU School of Medicine students for holding the Junaia P. Carter, MD 5K Run/Walk to benefit MERCY Communities year after year, despite their very busy schedules. Thank you from all of the moms, children, Board and staff of MERCY for putting on a great event and the continued support of our program.

A special thank you to United Way for their support with grants for our Homeless Management Information System Grant and our Permanent and Transitional Program Grants.  We are very fortunate to have United Way as a Mercy Communities partner.

dioceseThank you to the Diocesan Campaign for Justice and Hope (DCJH). They awarded us a $2,500 grant for our Workforce Readiness Program. We appreciate their continued support of MERCU programs!

Thank you to the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Provincial Council San Damiano Outreach for their grant towards our Moms Workforce Development Program.

We were recently awarded a $1,000 grant from the CRS Rice Bowl to supplement food for our moms and children. Thank you to this generous organization!Rotary

A special thank you to the Rotary Club of Springfield, IL for their $1,000 grant for food, and the Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise Program. They awarded us a $1,000 grant for our children's Points for Grades program!

We would like to thank the JP Morgan Chase Foundation for their continued support of the MERCY programs. We want to thank them for their 2015 generous grant for our Workforce Development/Continuing Education Program. By the Foundation joining with us in this initiative they are supporting young, disadvantaged women and children an opportunity to achieve self-sufficiency.

Donations may be dropped off on TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS from 8 am - 4:30 p.m. Because of our small staff size, please call ahead at 217-753-1358 to make sure someone is here to accept your donation. We appreciate your support!
